Chinese Language Week

Ni hao bloggers

Did you know that this week is Chinese Language Week? As you know we have been extremely busy of production. Today we didn't get any practise so we stayed in class learning about the Great Wall Of China. We went to google maps to observe more about the Great Wall Of China.

Did you know the Great Wall Of China is more than 2000 years old? What I have learnt today is that millions and millions of people come to China to see the Great Wall Of China.

The thing that I don't know is that how many people built the Great Wall Of China?

The Great Wall Of China is the most longest creation in men kind. The Great Wall Of China has some ruptured pieces and some of the pieces has disappeared.

I hoped you learnt something from this blog post about the Great Wall Of China.

Please give me feedback on my blog post so I can improve my blogging. If you have any questions comment me on my blog.

It's Time!

Kia orana bloggers

Today is the day of the Matinee. We have been working so hard for the last 10 weeks for the production and that has finally paid off. Today we will be performing to everyone that has come to the Matinee to show them our Where The Wild Things Are production.

Our production has 11 songs for each group performing we have a lot of groups and every group has a different part to play. Every group that is performing on our practise was marvellous.

I am part of a sound crew. The sound crew people are the one who controls the sounds there are 3 people who are doing the sound system. The sound system is a very special job because you have to make sure that the sound is going good if it is not good I have to adjust volumes.

I think the Matinee will be a success because of how long we have practised. I also think that a lot of people will come to the Matinee.

Please give me a feedback on how I did on my blog post. If you have any questions just comment on my blog.

Mrs Butler' dog visits

Malo lelei bloggers,

Last tuesday we had an unexpected visitor come to Harris class. Jess (Mrs Butler’ dog) made our class so excited. Jess was a little anxious in our class . She was also wagging her white beautiful tail. Mrs Butler introduced Jess in our class telling us what she likes and what she doesn't like. She obeys all commands what Mrs Butler says she is also very obedient.

Treats are one of Jess’ favourite rewards. When Mrs Butler pulled out a packet of doggy treats her ears pricked up and she stood up walking a little bit forward but Mrs Butler said “Sit”,’ so Jess sat where she was.

The best part was when we got to pat her. Her head was so smooth and soft and her body was a little bit rough but it was fine. She is also very cute. After we did all of that we went out to play fetch with her only some of us got to play fetch because she has a problem with her leg so we stopped and had a little bit of chat about Jess and after that we had to say goodbye.

Please give me feedback on how I wrote on my blogpost so
                                 I can improve my blogging.

Poem Using Descriptive Verbs And Nouns

Hello bloggers

Yesterday Tuesday September 4 2018 Mrs Butler came into our class to teach us about how to write a poem using descriptive verbs and nouns and also without using rhymes.

We had help from Mrs Butler's poem called Did you ever...? by Nathan. It was a really an interesting poem but we were not allowed to copy the poem we had to do our own and it also should be what we did in reality.

We were trying to achieve to write a question, three verbs and nouns, and to explain what we feel about it in short form.

If you would like to see my poem take a look at the picture.

Do you like my poem called did you ever. Leave a comment if it's good or bad.

Thank you for reading my blog post please leave me a feedback on your free time so I can improve my blogging. Thank you bye.

Wild Thing Description

Kia ora Bloggers,

This term we have been learning about the book called Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.

As part of our learning of Where The Wild Things Are we have been doing how to describe the Wild Things character of the book Miss Percy gave us several characters.

Image result for where the wild things are images

Everyone's goal was to use descriptive nouns and descriptive verbs ( interesting vocabulary) and to vary the beginning of our sentence structure.

Here is how I did my descriptive writing. Do you think I achieved it?

My Wild thing’s light, yellow eyes are staring at another wild thing’s body. His head has devil’s horns, pig ears, and hognose. His feet looks like a human feet. The soles of his feet are very rough and dirty. He has a very unique feet that looks like a human that’s why it makes his feet so special. His body has a lot of grey hair. He has razor- sharp small triangular teeth and he has very small claws.

I think I should add more descriptive nouns and descriptive verbs and to also vary my structure language in the beginning.

What do you think on how I described the character I chose? Is it descriptive enough?

If you think it's descriptive enough try to guess who I chose just leave a comment.

Thank you for reading my blog post I hope you learned something about this                                             descriptive writing and also can you please give me some feedback. Bye

Equivalent Fractions

Good Day Everyone

In the last 2 weeks we have been learning about equivalent fractions. Equivalent fractions means to have to have fractions at the same place for example: 2/4 is the same as 1/2.

My Equivalent is really good and I think my next step is to learn more methods on how to solve fractions.

Thank you for reading my blog post please give me some feedback so I can improve my blog post.
