We have been reading lots and lots we started everything yesterday we have to finish all of it today and I did it.
I have been doing my follow up task, newspaper bingo, and blog commenting.

collaborate using Google apps
Welcome bloggers
Today we had Gerard visit our class RM 8 Hansen class and teach us about how to collaborate.
We had a task to put our name, picture, and our favorite movie onto a grid. We also had to write what is collaboration and we had to put the definition of collaborating. Next we needed to put what collaboration means and a video of collaboration, and we had to make five rules for collaboration with other students.
I learned a lot of things about collaboration. I learned about the definition of collaboration not only that I also learned when we use collaboration. We use collaboration sometimes in maths and collaboration means working with someone to produce or create something.

Term 3 reading

This term we have been learning in reading is about chickens we did lots of things.
We did Follow-up task, Poem task and commenting on blogs.
When we did Follow-up task we needed to do the following question the questions are what it means synonym of the word and make a sentence of that word this is the link to it.
Follow up task
When we did our Poem task we needed to read the poem and pick one stanza and illustrate it by befunky and post it in the ocean we needed to put anything that came up on our minds it was easy here is a link to it.

We also did commenting on blogs we needed to click on the link that our teacher has setup in the reading tumble and click on the person we want to comment on our teacher said to at least comment on 2 blogs.

MERC Camp 2017

Today I will be telling you about camp. On Wednesday morning we went to MERC Camp at Long Bay. I went in my Dad's car while the other students were on the double decker bus.
On Wednesday we went and did activities like planting dunes at the beach. On the second day we had even more sports for example Giants ladder, archery, sailing, and raft building. On the last day we did a Multi Sport challenge. It was lots of fun but we needed to get home.
The most challenging thing at camp was the Giants ladder because the wood was getting further and further apart and it was quiet hard to get down the Giants ladder because it was very high but I managed to get down the Giants ladder by trusting my team mates.
My biggest achievement on camp was not being scared of heights and being brave.
In the Giants ladder we needed to use teamwork to climb up. To help the person get up, we needed to put one leg down and the other leg must be bent straight and the person could climb up.

Today we have been learning all about Matariki. Our teacher gave as a listening test about Matariki we had to listen carefully for the answers we had questions in our sheet

My First Animation

Today I have been learning about how to Animate things with the other classes.
We used a presentation to create what we are animating.
When we were in the presentation slide we click view and there were a lot of things came up we clicked at master to have the background there was lots of options but the right option was where we are when it pop up we clicked on the image button and this was my first animation anyway there was a teacher helping us her name was Ms. Fortes we clicked on the image what the teacher said and we clicked the x mark just at the black rectangle and there you'll find the x mark.
After we've done that we went to insert and clicked image the teacher said that search for ninja star we searched for that and the teacher said click the first one and when we have got that we made it smaller.
After we have finished putting the ninja star we clicked on the slide and clicked Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v and we had another slide and made 24 slides but some maybe has more and have more slides or some are less and have less slide and we had to move it around until it reaches the other side.
After we have done that we clicked on file and there were lots of options but the right one was Publish to the web we clicked on that and clicked on 3 seconds and made it to every second when we have done that there were two small little boxes and clicked on both of them and when we have done we clicked publish and when we have done that we copied the link and paste it but we changed 1000 to a different number and after that we pressed enter when we have entered we clicked on the right triangle and it played fast.

Our Pest Tracker

This week we have been experimenting about pests so we build a pest tracker if there are any pest in our school we used a cycle it was: Empathise, Define, Ideate, Hypothesise, Test, and Observe. We are doing this to help our Native Birds. We used materials to build our pest tracker here are the lists of materials that we needed:
Materials:
Empathise:
Pests are killing our Native Birds if we don't get rid of the pests the pests would kill all of our Native birds and our Native birds would fly away from New Zealand and never come back because there are too many pests in New Zealand they don't want to be eaten.
Define:
If our Native birds become extinct we wouldn't hear our Native birds beautiful singing and our Native birds would fly away and never come back cause there are too many pests eating them.
Ideate:
We are going to use Milk bottles to track pests in our school if there any pests in our school. This are the lists of things that we need to track pests: Milk bottles, lids, peanut butter, food colouring, sponge, tape, scissors, paper, tin foil, and a black cut rubbish bin.
I know you are wondering how the pest tracker works we add the food colouring into the sponge and when they step on the sponge they would leave foot marks.
Hypothesise:
I think this is not gonna work cause the wind might ruined our pest tracker and I also think that crunchy peanut butter would work cause it has more things on it.
Test:
When we had made it we put peanut butter on two lids we put food colouring on the sponge we went to the bush walk and left it their for two days yesterday we took our pest trackers to our class and we notice something in our pest tracker.
Observe:
We noticed in our pest tracker lots of ants I think the ants are a group of ants and the ants have eggs inside our pest tracker and our pest tracker's peanut butter looks like a poo of a pest our pest tracker failed cause we put lots of straw and leaves on it that's why the pest can't get in and it was ruined next time we are going to do it again we are not going to put lot's of straw and leaves on it so that the pests could go in and be a success.
